This pretty tree is one I see on my dog-walking route.
There are many, many beautiful trees on the grounds here, but this one was the most unique. It leans heavily out from it’s roots, nearly 45 degrees from the ground, toward the river. Its base is covered in vines, and it was so striking to catch that shock of green before the tree had fully leafed out.
Isn’t this live oak lovely covered in lights? We made our winter pilgrimage to Old Santee Canal Park in Moncks Corner, SC, and were greeted by this beautiful tree.
These ancient cottonwood trees at Capitol Reef National Park were massive. We sat in their shade while we helped Wyle fill in her Junior Ranger booklet.
